The Monk and The Warrior

(A story from Japan)

Once there was a great big samari warrior krigare. One day, he went up the hill to the monastery. He went inside. Seven monks were sitting on the floor, eating.

The warrior went up to one of the monks. He towered over the little monk. And the warrior said in a loud, demanding voice kraftfulla och krävande röst, "Monk!"

The monk did not look up but continued fortsätte  eating. This annoyed the warrior, who shouted, "Monk! Tell me the difference between heaven and hell skillnaden mellan himmel och helvete"."

Still, the monk did not look up, but he stopped eating long enough to say, "I couldn't possibly do that jag kan omöjligen göra så."

Now the warrior was angry. He demanded to know krävde att veta, "Why not?"

The monk simply said in a plain voice, "You're too stupid."

The warrior turned red in the face. He felt rage raseri  well up from välla upp från  his toes to his belly. The warrior started to shake with rage grips av våldsam vrede. He put his trembling darrande  hand on the sword svärd  which was always hanging from his belt.

The monk looked up at the warrior and added, "And besides, you're ugly ful  too."

That was too much for the warrior. He grabbed the sword and lifted it high in the air, about to chop the monk's head off.

And then the monk said, "That, that feeling, is hell."

The warrior realized insåg  that he was about to kill the poor defenseless fförsvarslös  monk for the sake of a few words. So he lowered the sword and put it back in place, and lowered his head in humility ödmjukhet.

The monk looked up again and said, "And that, that feeling is heaven."
